What's An Ascension Witch?

From an early age, I became familiar with the feeling of standing apart—a bridge without even realizing it yet. In 5th grade, I was the first among my peers to enter puberty, a newness I didn’t ask for and that seemed to magnify everything: my curves, my questions, and my need for something beyond the visible. I was smart, and I reveled in anything magical or imaginative. Innocent, but not naive. Yet, with that first bra and that first blush of change, came the torment of others who saw me as a target.

There was a group of bullies led by a girl who seemed relentless in her cruelty. She was my tormentor in ways that scarred and molded me, and it wasn’t until years later that I learned about the abuse she faced at home, a hidden agony of her own. I was lucky in that my family loved me unconditionally, their acceptance a constant even in my offbeat love for the Grateful Dead and my tendency to question the status quo. They were my shield, my comfort. But even with love around me, the bullying followed me through middle school until, in high school, I found my voice.

Catholic high school may seem a strange place to find one’s spirit, but for me, it was where I began to feel alive with spiritual curiosity and a fierceness I didn’t know I possessed. I became hungry for knowledge, pushing boundaries with questions: Why is Jesus always shown as white? Where are the feminine faces in these teachings? I found solace and strength in stories of the Marys and through sports, particularly field events, where I felt my own power rise. Competing taught me resilience, even in losing.

College deepened my fascination with human relationships, especially among women. I became enthralled with the complexity of sisterhood—the beauty and the bitterness, the competition and collaboration. It was here that I began to see my true calling: to understand, heal, and bridge divides not just in people but in the human spirit itself.

And so, my path as an ascension witch was born. Halloween has always been my day; it’s when I feel the spirit of the Witch most alive in me. To me, she represents the raw, sacred feminine, who draws you into the dark arts of dreams, imagination, vision, synchronicity, and prophecy. She calls us to the wild, to the wisdom of plants and creatures, and to the wildness within our hearts—into the murky, unconscious desires and depths we often fear.

The Witch awakens the soul, stirring it to recognize and embrace the mysteries inside. Her purpose is to unite us with our hidden depths so that we might access the untold powers of the unseen. My journey was marked by painful rifts and moments of darkness, yet each one pushed me to bridge the divide between humanity and spirit. Now, my purpose is to help others heal the separation at the heart center—the very source of all lack and discord—and to guide them toward the wholeness waiting within.
